Colossal Cave may be a misnomer for this cave ... certainly not on par with such notable caves such as Carlsbad Caverns.
This privately owned cave and park, although small in scale, does offer an interesting few hours of diversion for those who are inclined to explore caves. A guided tour takes all of 45 minutes and details the lore and history of this cave ... including the supposedly "lost treasures" still remaining within the cave. Close to Tucson and easy to reach, Colossal Cave is fun to walk through. See, touch and caress the many formations that are peculiar to type of a cave. |
