The 16th Annual (2008) Mesilla Valley Balloon Festival is similar in its format to previous festivals. If you would like to see what earlier events looked like, re-visit the 2000 , 2003 , 2006 , and 2007 Balloon pages for additional images and other links.
Starting in 2007 the launch was in the new location on the outskirts of the city. This day was cold (21 degrees) ... the sunrise on time. The morning dawned without a breeze. The sky was devoid of clouds. Shooting images of the balloons on the ground and in flight was ideal, for the morning light was intense ... allowing the full spectrum of color of the balloons to shine bright. The results we show here, combined with the earlier web pages, are indicative of the sea of color that greets the visitor. Enjoy our images.
